With the skills in mind, I suggest picking one specialization and learning all the upgrade to the skills you chose along with its related combat stance.In the case of Two Handed Axes, I would go Berserk with max Crush, Cleave and Sunder.

Go into Melee Specialization and learn all Axe related skills.Then you need to learn about the different Combat Stances, they are: Attack, Defense, Berserk and Blitz. Then decide if you want that weapon to either be Axe, Knife (Sword), Mace or Lance (which is a 2H-weapon by default). Therefore, you must do the following: Either pick if you want to use a 1-handed or 2-handed weapon as far as I can tell, there are no shields and you cannot dual-wield. Skill points are too limited to allow you to learn more than a single type of weapon type. Anything in the “Carving” sub-tab is up for debate so I’d leave it up to you and totally skip Butchering Basics sub-tab unless you are wanted to be a dedicated butcher for your clan in which case you will likely be learning everything. Skulls are pretty useless and are inexpensive on the Market, same goes for Horn. Regardless, I would suggest learning the follow butchering skills: Leather I, Pelt I, Bone II, Bone III, Teeth I. In some locations, especially Desert, you will find bone graveyards which will also level up your butchering easily. You automatically have access to Clam (found on most beaches) and Crab (found in Palm Tree in Tropical Zones), with those two alone you can easily level up Butchering. *Here are the "must" skills to learn:*Mud 2 - necessary to level up Farming, more on that laterMetal 1 to 4 - Metal is very valuable and rare, you should always farm it if you see any while exploring.Precious Metal 1 and 2 - To gather gold and silver.You can skip any of the rocks unless you have a clear need for it.Sap 1 - Very important for various crafts.Log 1 to 4 - Logs are my favorite item as they are always needed for a lot of things.You can also make sticks with them so I almost never pick up branches while exploring, just logs.Fiber 1 - Necessary for Tailoring, more on that later.īutchering is one that essentially requires no investment to level up.
I would avoid learning anything from: Unusual Plants, Gathering Basics and Bugs unless you need to for something specific.
By default, it is extremely easy to level up as you will always be gathering stuff through out the game though there are some skills that are very useful for other skill trees. Gathering is really subjective to your play-style. I want to go over all the trees and tell you the bare-minimum skills to learn in order to level up skills quickly. I suggest avoiding activities based on a skill tree that is ready for “Research Available” since you always want multiple skills at the ready in case you may not be able to play for a few days but you could still just log on to set progress once one is complete. In the time I’ve played so far, I believe I might have lost only about 24 hours so it does take a while for it to fill up. I would advise to use your time efficiently in order to maximize your skill tree learning Skill trees are time-gated every 5 levels that goes from 1hour/2h/4h/12h/1day/2d/3d so always try to level up a skill that will complete during a time where you can log in and set a progress on a new one. 60 therefore, I would emphasize new players to focus more on Skill Tree leveling than Character leveling if your objective is to max out everything like I’m trying to do. / Īs you can see, I was unable to get a single skill tree (aside from Survival as it automatically increases with your Character Lv.) to max before reaching Character Lv. are pictures of my base (nothing fancy, just pure effectiveness).
